CHICAGO LONGBOARD SOCIETY PRESENTS: THE BIG SCARY PUSH!
Chicago, Illinois – Chicago Longboard Society is pushing head first in to the world of Long Distance Push Races with character. Literally, with characters – The Big Scary Push is a Halloween themed 8.8 mile costume push race through Chicago’s Humbolt Park. The race is happening on Sunday October 30th at 11:00 am, regardless of weather. Racers will don their best Halloween gear and push around route for a total of 4 laps.
The folks at Chicago Longboard Society have conjured up some awesome prizes and swag, with decks for the top three racers and other assorted gear for participants. National sponsors include Original Skateboards, Bustin’ Boards, Riptide Bushings, Nersh and Fireball. Local love and support is coming from Fatties Board Shop (Cary, Illinois), Small Town Skate Shop (DeKalb, Illinois) and C R Boardworks (Warren, Michigan). Prizes will be awarded to top the top 3 racers, men, top 2 racers women, top grom, and best costume.
Free to race, free to hang out. Meet up at 11am on the North East Corner of North Ave and California, Chicago Illinois. Helmets must be worn and properly fastened to place. No acceptations. No joke. Costume heads and costume helmets will not count and do NOT replace proper skate helmets.
