Car Free Sundays…

This coming Sunday will see skaters from France, Holland and Belgium come together in Brussels to take part in the Car Free Sunday. As part of the European Week of Mobility, this event is now in it’s 10th year and aims to “raise citizens’ awareness of sustainable mobility in the urban environment, change established behaviour, and promote environmentally friendly transportation”.

The whole Brussels region, all 160 square kilometres of it, will be closed to motorised traffic from 9 am till 7 pm. The plan is to meet at the main station at around 10am and then skate around the city.

Car Free Sunday: a perfect opportunity to visit and discover the city of Brussels with fewer cars, less noise and less pollution!
