Skate for the troops 2010

Cold where you are? Snowed in? Dreaming of feeling the sun on your face and going out for a skate? This video will provide some relief for those in the icy grip of winter – if you’re in warmer climes, make the most of it and get out there!

On the 13th November about 50 longboarders skated down the coast of San Diego to raise money and awarness for the Semper Fi Fund. The 22mile route took them through some sweet coastal scenery and some awesome downhills.

The event, hosted by Honey Skateboards‘ rider Derek Smith, raised enough money to provide support to two, perhaps three marines. Nice work guys! More information about the event can be found here.

  1. I didn’t know there were sites like this. I come from a street skating (tricks) background so I didn’t know about distance skateboarding.

I’m gonna have fun looking around this site, thanks for setting this up.
