Last weekend saw the previous Marathon record get smashed. After battling it out over 11 laps of Governors Island Jeff Vyain took the lead and crossed the finish line $15,000 richer. The new marathon record now stands at 1hour 31 minutes and 41 seconds. Who would have thought that was possible when Goodwood was skated back in 2006 and 2 hours was the target!
